Dollar Exchange Rates Rise in Baghdad and Erbil

The dollar exchange rates increased in Baghdad and Erbil during Tuesday’s trading session. The US dollar closed near 154,000 Iraqi dinars per $100. The latest movement came after rates rose during morning trading.

In Baghdad, the dollar traded at 153,750 dinars per $100 at the Al-Kifah and Al-Harithiya exchanges. The rate increased from 153,250 dinars during the morning session. The rise indicates continued movement in Iraq’s parallel currency market.

Exchange shops in Baghdad sold $100 for 154,250 dinars. They bought the same amount for around 153,250 dinars. The difference between buying and selling prices remained noticeable across the capital.

Erbil also recorded higher market prices during the day. Exchange shops offered $100 for 153,450 dinars. They bought the same amount for approximately 153,400 dinars.

The dollar exchange rates continue to fluctuate across Iraq’s major markets. Baghdad and Erbil can record different prices because of local demand and market conditions. Currency traders closely monitor daily movements for signs of further changes.

The latest increase comes as businesses and consumers continue to follow foreign currency prices. The dollar remains important for imports and other commercial transactions. Changes in its market value can therefore affect costs across different parts of the economy.

The gap between buying and selling prices also remains an important market indicator. Exchange offices adjust their rates according to demand and available currency. These differences can change throughout the trading day.

Baghdad’s central exchanges recorded a stronger closing rate than the morning session. The increase of 500 dinars per $100 shows the market moved upward during Tuesday’s trading. Traders will now watch whether the higher level continues in coming sessions.

Erbil’s market also remained close to the 153,000-dinar level. However, its selling price stayed below Baghdad’s rate. The difference reflects variations between the two regional markets.

The dollar exchange rates could remain sensitive to changes in demand and broader economic conditions. Importers, traders, and consumers are likely to keep monitoring the market. Further movements could influence prices for goods and services linked to foreign currency.

For now, the dollar remains close to 154,000 dinars per $100 in Baghdad. Erbil prices remain slightly lower, with selling rates around 153,450 dinars. The next trading sessions will show whether the latest increase continues.
