Basrah Crude Prices Drop Despite Rise in Global Oil Prices

Basrah crude prices fell over 1% on Wednesday, even as global oil prices rose.

Basrah Heavy crude dropped 74 cents, or 1.9%, to $67.24 per barrel, while Basrah Medium crude decreased by 74 cents, or 1.04%, to $70.29 per barrel.

In contrast, Brent futures rose by 44 cents to $70 per barrel, and US West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude gained 47 cents, reaching $66.72 per barrel. The rise in global prices was supported by a weaker dollar, despite an increase in US crude inventories.
