Spain Offers Support for Iraq’s Energy Sector Growth

The Spanish Ambassador to Iraq, Alicia Rico, announced on Monday that Spain is ready to support the growth of Iraq’s energy sector.

Rico made the statement during a meeting with Iraq’s Minister of Electricity, Ziyad Ali Fadel. They discussed strategies to strengthen cooperation between the two countries in the energy sector.

The Spanish diplomat noted that Spanish companies specializing in renewable energy are eager to enter the Iraqi market, bringing their expertise and innovative technologies.

Minister Fadel emphasized the importance of seizing opportunities to participate in projects aimed at upgrading Iraq’s energy infrastructure.

Fadel also reiterated Iraq’s goal to strengthen international partnerships to expand its energy sector, address current challenges, and ensure sustainability in this critical field.
