Iraq’s Mining Industries Nears Completion of Solvent Production Plant

The General Company for Mining Industries, under Iraq’s Ministry of Industry and Minerals, has announced that its solvent production plant in Salah Al-Din province is 85% complete. Developed in collaboration with the private sector, the plant is being constructed to meet global standards.

According to Ahmed Faleh Ali, Director General of the company, the plant will produce 1,000 tonnes of white spirit daily once operational. White spirit, a commonly used solvent for paint thinning and cleaning, will cater to both public and private sector needs.

The project is seen as a key initiative for Salah Al-Din, aiming to enhance industrial production and support the local market.
