Iraqi Drilling Company Completes First Well in Qayyarah Oilfield

The Iraqi Drilling Company (IDC) has successfully completed drilling the first well (LF2) in its contract with Sonangol to drill 13 oil wells in the Qayyarah oilfield, located in Nineveh province.

Drilling operations were carried out using the IDC 223 rig, which boasts an 800 horsepower capacity. This achievement highlights IDC’s technical proficiency and its ability to deliver projects with high quality and safety standards.

IDC has reaffirmed its commitment to supporting the Ministry of Oil’s development plans, ensuring that drilling projects are completed on time to boost Iraq’s national oil production capacity.
