The mall’s owner stated that all required approvals for importing the transformers were obtained through official channels. Despite these approvals, administrative procedures continue to delay installation. Management argues that lengthy paperwork and slow coordination between government departments have prevented progress.
According to project officials, communication between electricity authorities and municipal agencies remains a major obstacle. The equipment is available and ready for use, but procedural delays have stalled implementation. As a result, a solution that could ease the power shortage remains out of reach.
The consequences of a shutdown would extend far beyond the mall itself. Management estimates that nearly 20,000 workers depend directly or indirectly on economic activity generated by the complex. Employees, retailers, suppliers, transport providers, and service companies could all feel the impact.
