Iraq Ranks 41st in Global Network Excellence Index

Opensignal has introduced the Global Network Excellence Index, a new benchmark ranking global markets based on their mobile network experience.

According to the index, Iraq ranks 41st among large land mass countries for network excellence, trailing behind Saudi Arabia (20th), Morocco (36th), and Egypt (40th).

In terms of 4G download speed, Iraq ranks 21st globally, placing third in the Middle East and North Africa region, behind Oman and Saudi Arabia, but ahead of Morocco, Iran, Egypt, Algeria, Libya, and Yemen.

For 4G / 5G availability, Iraq is ranked 65th, indicating lower connectivity to modern networks. However, Iraq performs better in the Excellent Consistent Quality category, ranking 39th, which measures the reliability of networks for demanding applications like video streaming and gaming.

The Global Network Excellence Index evaluates countries across three core pillars: 4G / 5G Availability, Excellent Consistent Quality, and 4G / 5G Download Speed.
