Finance Minister Taif Sami reaffirmed Iraq’s commitment to its partnership with the World Bank during a meeting with Jean-Christophe Carret, the World Bank Representative to Iraq.
The two sides discussed ways to strengthen economic and financial cooperation. Key topics included enhancing financial stability in Iraq and advancing development projects aimed at sustainable growth.
Sami highlighted the importance of Iraq’s ongoing relationship with the World Bank, emphasizing the country’s desire to leverage the bank’s technical and financial support for strategic projects. He noted that such initiatives are crucial for boosting economic growth and creating job opportunities, particularly in infrastructure and human development.
Carret, for his part, reaffirmed the World Bank’s commitment to supporting Iraq in achieving its development goals. He stressed the bank’s focus on helping Iraq tackle economic and development challenges, with an emphasis on sustainable and inclusive growth.
