On Tuesday, Basrah crude oil prices saw a slight increase, even as global oil prices experienced a downturn.
- Basrah Heavy crude rose by $0.20, reaching $67.98 per barrel.
- Basrah Medium crude also increased by $0.20, settling at $71.03 per barrel.
This uptick in Basrah crude prices comes amidst a broader decline in global oil markets, with Brent futures falling 6 cents, or 0.1%, to $69.22 per barrel at 0402 GMT, and U.S. West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude futures dropping 13 cents, or 0.2%, to $65.90 per barrel. Despite the global price drop, Basrah crude bucked the trend with a modest increase.
