Baghdad – Clear skies will dominate Iraq through Sunday as temperatures gradually rise across several regions. Forecasters expect stable weather conditions and moderate winds throughout the period.
The Iraq weather forecast shows calm conditions across the country. Meanwhile, northern provinces will maintain relatively stable temperatures during the first part of the forecast period. However, central and southern areas will gradually experience warmer weather.
On Thursday, Duhok and Sulaymaniyah will reach 34°C. Erbil will record 36°C, while Nineveh will climb to 37°C. In addition, Kirkuk and Anbar will see highs of 38°C.
Baghdad, Salah al-Din, and Karbala will reach 40°C during the day. Meanwhile, Diyala, Najaf, Babil, and Diwaniyah will record 41°C. Wasit and Muthanna will climb to 42°C, while Maysan and Dhi Qar will reach 43°C. Basra will top the national temperature chart with a high of 44°C.
According to the Iraq weather forecast, Friday will bring nearly identical conditions. Therefore, residents can expect another day of sunshine and steady temperatures across most provinces.
On Saturday, temperatures in northern Iraq will rise slightly. However, central and southern provinces will maintain similar readings. As a result, most areas will continue to experience stable weather conditions.
By Sunday, warmer air will move into central and southern regions. Consequently, temperatures there will increase modestly. Meanwhile, northern provinces will hold steady after Saturday’s slight rise.
Moderate winds will continue across the country throughout the forecast period. In addition, the winds may ease the impact of the daytime heat in some exposed locations.
