UAE-based Dragon Oil has signed new agreements with several companies in Iraq’s oil industry. These deals highlight Iraq oil sector partnerships that aim to boost cooperation and expand energy development.
Dragon Oil, part of the Emirates National Oil Company, reached an agreement with China’s Anton Oilfield Services, a top provider of oilfield services. At the same time, it also signed with Nohadh Al-Benaa for General Trading & Oilfield Contracting Services.
Earlier, the company signed another deal with Sahool Al-Salam Oil Services, which belongs to the Al-Amal Group.However, that agreement covers engineering, procurement, and construction work, along with possible investment in new oilfields.
Through these moves, Dragon Oil seeks to support Iraq’s energy sector and improve infrastructure in oilfields where it operates. The company also shows its long-term commitment to Iraq, focusing on building sustainable partnerships that provide growth and mutual value.
Additionally, Dragon Oil has worked in Iraq since 2013, when it signed a production-sharing contract for Block-9 in Basra. This project marked the beginning of its presence in the country.
Alongside Iraq, Dragon Oil manages oil and gas assets in Turkmenistan, Egypt, and other regions. However, Iraq oil sector partnerships remain a central part of its regional growth strategy.
With these agreements, Dragon Oil not only strengthens its role in Iraq but also deepens cooperation between international and local firms. As well as, the company hopes this approach will bring more investment, create stronger networks, and help modernize Iraq’s energy industry.
