Iraq Japanese vehicle imports are growing rapidly, making the country a top buyer in the global auto trade. New figures show Iraq imported over $700 million worth of vehicles and related products from Japan in 2024. This volume makes up 16 percent of Japan’s total automotive exports worldwide.

Therefore, the report shows that Iraq Japanese vehicle imports reached a total of $712.47 million last year. This reflects Iraq’s strong demand for high-quality vehicles and transportation products. As the economy expands, so does the need for reliable transportation.

Moreover, a major part of these imports includes passenger cars. Iraq brought in 17,994 cars from Japan, with a total value of $612.31 million. These vehicles form the backbone of daily transportation for thousands of people in Iraq.

In addition, Iraq imported 2,156 goods transport trucks. These trucks, valued at $51.69 million, support the country’s growing logistics and commercial sectors. With more goods moving across cities, the demand for sturdy transport vehicles is on the rise.

Motorcycles and bicycles also gained popularity in Iraq. The data revealed that 236,477 units entered the country last year. Their total value reached $7.97 million. These two-wheeled options offer cheaper and more flexible transport choices in busy cities.

Alongside motorcycles, Iraq imported 510 units of bike accessories, strollers, and wheelchairs. These items were worth $1.78 million. Their use reflects the changing lifestyles and increased mobility needs across the country.
