Iraq’s oil exports to the United States saw a significant drop last week, as reported by the US Energy Information Administration (EIA) on Sunday.
The EIA’s data revealed that US crude oil imports from the top nine oil-exporting countries averaged 5.577 million barrels per day (bpd) for the past week, marking a slight increase of 42,000 bpd from the previous week’s total of 5.535 million bpd.
However, Iraq’s contribution to US oil imports declined sharply, with its exports falling to 46,000 bpd, a decrease of 182,000 bpd from the previous week’s 228,000 bpd.
In terms of the US’s highest oil revenues, Canada remained the largest supplier, averaging 4.091 million bpd, followed by Brazil with 418,000 bpd, Mexico at 308,000 bpd, and Colombia at 227,000 bpd. Additionally, Saudi Arabia supplied 203,000 bpd, Venezuela provided 189,000 bpd, and Ecuador contributed 95,000 bpd.
