Gold Prices Hold Steady in Baghdad and Erbil

On Monday, gold prices remained stable across Baghdad and Erbil, with little change in the local markets.

In Baghdad, the wholesale market on Al-Nahr Street saw a 21-carat gold mithqal (approximately 4.8 grams) priced at 605,000 IQD for Gulf, Turkish, and European gold. The buying price for this gold stood at 601,000 IQD. For Iraqi 21-carat gold mithqal, the selling price was 575,000 IQD, while the buying price was 571,000 IQD.

Jewelry shops in Baghdad reported prices for a 21-carat Gulf gold mithqal ranging from 605,000 to 615,000 IQD, while the Iraqi gold mithqal was priced between 575,000 and 585,000 IQD.

In Erbil, the prices for gold were slightly higher. The 24-carat gold mithqal was valued at 700,000 IQD, while the 21-carat gold mithqal was priced at 613,000 IQD. Additionally, 18-carat gold was priced at 525,000 IQD per mithqal.

These prices reflect the ongoing demand for gold in both cities, maintaining consistency across the market despite fluctuations in global gold prices.
