On Tuesday, Ruben Soghoyan, the Ambassador of the Republic of Armenia to Iraq, highlighted Iraq’s significance as a key economic partner in the Middle East. He discussed ongoing efforts to strengthen cooperation between the two nations in multiple sectors.

Soghoyan stated that bilateral relations are being actively enhanced, focusing on political, economic, commercial, tourism, and cultural collaboration. He emphasized that regional and global changes have not impacted the strong ties between Armenia and Iraq.

The Ambassador also outlined areas of cooperation, including trade, technological expertise, digital transformation, smart agriculture, renewable energy, and water treatment.

He noted the presence of many Iraqi students in Armenian universities, studying fields like engineering, medicine, and humanities. Soghoyan confirmed that the Armenian government offers full support to these students and plans to continue fostering educational cooperation through university twinning agreements.
