Iraq Jewelry Imports from Turkiye Rise

Iraq jewelry imports from Turkiye continue to grow steadily, showing strong demand for luxury goods in the country’s market.

Iraq purchased over $1.7 billion worth of precious stones and jewelry from Turkiye. This large amount highlights the strong trade relationship between the two countries. It also signals growing interest among Iraqi buyers in luxury and ornamental items.

Between recent years, Iraq’s imports of gems and metals increased by 4%. This consistent rise reflects both economic activity and changing consumer preferences. More people in Iraq now choose to buy high-value jewelry, both for fashion and investment.

Most of the imports—worth around $995.9 million—came as jewelry and components made from precious metals. These items weighed 28 metric tons. Iraqi demand for gold and silver accessories has seen noticeable growth.

In addition to finished pieces, Iraq brought in $8.23 million worth of gold. This included both unworked gold and gold plated with platinum. Iraq also imported $2.43 million worth of silver, including silver with gold inlay.

Moreover, buyers in Iraq spent $1.03 million on imitation jewelry. They also purchased around $49,000 worth of other decorative items made from valuable materials.

The steady increase in Iraq jewelry imports from Turkiye shows deeper economic and cultural ties. Trade in luxury items often signals growing disposable income among consumers. It also reflects trust in the quality of Turkish craftsmanship.

Turkiye continues to lead in supplying high-end goods to Iraq. Turkish jewelers offer a mix of modern design and traditional artistry. That mix appeals to buyers across Iraq.

Furthermore, the growing market for precious goods in Iraq encourages stronger trade connections. Jewelry sellers in Turkiye may see even higher orders from Iraqi partners in the future.

This trade expansion helps both sides. Iraqi businesses meet rising customer demands. Turkish exporters gain more access to regional markets.

As jewelry sales rise, Iraq strengthens its role in regional trade. The country benefits from both imports and possible future investments in retail.

The value and weight of imported goods confirm that Iraq jewelry imports from Turkiye will likely continue to grow. If demand holds, the trade volume may reach even higher levels next year
