Iraq buys Italian truck, taking a major step to improve its electricity services by purchasing new lifting equipment. The Electricity Department confirmed the arrival of ten Italian-made CTE telescopic truck-mounted lifts to boost maintenance and infrastructure projects. This important delivery reflects the country’s effort to modernize tools and support the energy sector.
The Italian equipment strengthens electricity work with advanced designs and high safety standards. However, out of the ten new lifts, nine are B-Lift 150HY models, while one is a B-Lift 200HY. The equipment came through Precision Machinery, a distributor in the UAE, and its PM Truck division handled the supply process. The machines were delivered in kit form and installed on locally sourced Isuzu truck chassis.
The B-Lift 150HY features a two-section boom and a pedestal-mounted fiberglass platform. This platform includes full insulation up to 1,000 volts, making it reliable for electrical work. It also carries a maximum weight of 250 kilograms. As well as, the equipment provides a working height of 15 meters and an outreach of nearly 9 meters. With these features, technicians can safely reach power lines and other elevated structures.
The Iraq CTE equipment strengthens electricity work further with the addition of the B-Lift 200HY. Additionally, this model offers a three-section boom for greater reach. Workers can operate at a height of 20 meters and enjoy an outreach of 13 meters. The platform capacity rises to 300 kilograms, allowing teams to handle heavier loads. The combination of height, outreach, and strength makes this model highly valuable for demanding projects.
Moreover, these machines ensure both efficiency and safety. The insulation protects crews from high-voltage risks. The design allows quick movement and stable operation. Because of these advantages, the new lifts are expected to speed up repair jobs and reduce downtime across Baghdad and other regions.
In addition, the equipment supports Iraq’s wider plan to modernize public service fleets. The Isuzu chassis ensures easy maintenance and spare part availability. Precision Machinery’s PM Truck division, which also supplies cranes, skip loaders, hook lifts, recovery trucks, and scissor lifts, provided a full support package. This backing gives Iraqi teams access to training, service, and spare parts.
Ultimately, Iraq is making strong progress in modernizing its electricity maintenance systems. The Iraq CTE equipment strengthens electricity work with safe, modern lifts. These tools help workers complete tasks faster, safer, and with more reliability.
