5 Areas of Investment in Kurdistan Where You Will Never Lose
Would you like to invest in a sector that guarantees continuous profit?
Education is one of the safest and most rewarding areas for both active and passive investors.
If you have expertise in education, consider investing actively.
If not, you can still participate through mutual funds and earn returns on a monthly or annual basis.
Four years ago, I launched an educational project called Home Teacher with an initial investment of about $50,000. Today, the project’s value has increased to $500,000. According to our plan, once all services are fully implemented within the next five years, its value is expected to exceed $5 million.
You might ask: Can a $50,000 project really grow to over $5 million in less than 10 years?
My answer is yes — it’s possible through:
• Applying the 10X rule
• Having a clear and long-term strategy
• Providing high-quality services
• Building a skilled and dedicated team
With over ten years of experience in the education sector — working directly on this project for the past four years and engaging with multiple private schools and educational communities — I’ve seen firsthand that education is one of the most stable and profitable fields in Kurdistan’s market.
Why is education such a reliable investment?
Because:
1. It’s a basic human need tied to the future of every individual. Parents are always willing to invest in their children’s education to secure a better future.
2. The sector provides consistent and predictable income. You can project your annual revenue with high accuracy.
3. Education continues even during crises.
o During the COVID-19 pandemic, schools shifted online — but education never stopped.
o Even during the fight against ISIS, private schools continued operating.
4. Demand keeps rising. With a population growth rate of +2.3% annually, demand for education is constantly increasing.
According to official statistics from the Ministry of Education in the Kurdistan Region, there are 2,608,000 students enrolled this year — 139,797 of whom attend private schools. That number continues to grow annually. Due to the declining quality of public education and overcrowded classrooms, more families are choosing higher-quality private institutions, even if it means higher costs.
As a result, the education market in Kurdistan is estimated to be worth $550–750 million annually.
Over the past 20 years, 96% of private schools in Kurdistan have succeeded and continue to thrive. Only 4% have failed — mainly due to poor management, not market conditions.
Therefore, don’t miss the opportunity to invest — whether actively or passively — in this promising field. Just make sure to formalize your agreements with proper contracts.
